NOVEMBER 21, 2011

PRESENT – BOARD MEMBERS: Mr. Chad L. Vick, Chairman; Mrs. Kimberly T. Burch, Vice-Chairman; Ms. Shannon M. Polson, Secretary; Mr. Wesley R. Miles; Mr. Council Porter; Mr. James N. Sweeney; Mr. Jamie D. Wayne; and Dr. James C. Williamson

ABSENT – BOARD MEMBER: Mr. Darin M. Coleman

PRESENT – STAFF: None

VISITOR: Dr. Paul Krohne, Executive Director, S.C. School Boards Association (SCSBA)

I. Call to Order: The meeting was called to order by Chairman Vick at 6:00 p.m. at the District Office. He welcomed Dr. Krohne and members of the press.

II. Invocation/Pledge: Mr. Vick gave the invocation. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

III. Approval of Agenda: By consent, the agenda was approved as presented.

IV. Superintendent Search Proposal: Dr. Paul Krohne, SCSBA, reviewed a proposal to provide superintendent search services for CCSD. Following discussion, a motion was made by Mrs. Burch, seconded by Dr. Williamson and carried unanimously, to retain SCSBA for superintendent search services.

V. Adjournment: Upon a motion by Mrs. Burch and second by Dr. Williamson, the board adjourned at 6:34 p.m.

VI. Media Notification: The media was previously notified of this school board meeting.
