| The 2008-09 will be an exciting year for fifth and sixth graders. We will | |
| be using technology in the classroom in many ways. | |
| In math we will be exploring the Promethean Board as we work and learn. | |
| Each student will receive a homework agenda with pages to record | |
| homework for the week. Please sign or initial this every night. | |

| Sixth graders in Social Studies will have their text book on a CD to use at | |
| home. Sixth graders will use a 3-ring binder for Social Studies projects | |
| Ms. Traylor | this year. These projects will count the same as a test grade and will |
| include a rubric, definitions, places identified and located on a map, a | |
|
|
complete sentence about important people in the chapter and a creative |
| component. Fifth graders will continue to study United States history from Reconstruction to the present. Fifth graders are required to complete a project for each chapter in the same format at the sixth graders. |
