Ms. Hurst was born and raised in Chesterfield. She graduated from Chesterfield High in 1989 and attended Charleston Southern University for 2 years before marrying and transferring to Columbia College where she graduated with a BA in Education in 1995. She has taught in Lee County and Kershaw County, as well as in private schools in Camden and Pageland, SC. Last year, she taught in a private school in Laurinburg, NC. Ms. Hurst moved back to Chesterfield after her divorce and now lives there with her two children, ages 11 and 13, who will be attending Chesterfield County Schools. Her interests are music, reading, and theatre. She is excited to be the Resource teacher at Plainview Elementary and looks forward to meeting all of the children and parents.
