Mr. Dennis McDaniel was born in Orangeburg, SC and attended Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School where he graduated in 1988. He then attended USC until he began service of a religious mission to Brazil (where he was for 2 years). After returning from Brazil, he returned to USC. While there, he met his wife, Christi Barfield, who was also a student. After her graduation, he moved to Hartsville and transferred to Francis Marion University to complete his degree in Spanish. After graduating from FMU, he began teaching Spanish at Cheraw High School where he taught for 8 years. During this time, he completed his Master's degree in Educational Leadership and was subsequently hired as the Assistant Principal at New Heights Middle School. He then transferred to McBee High School as Assistant Principal where he has been for the past 2 years.
Mr. McDaniel and his wife have three daughters: Sarah (10), Emily (6) and Anna (2). His wife and daughters are the most important things to him. But, when time allows, he likes sports (watching and playing), reading, and being involved in his church and community.
