Membership in the Student Council is open to all students of New Heights Middle School who are in good academic standing and have not had a Discipline Referral during the academic year. The President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and Reporter are elected by the entire Student Body. Each grade level elects seven Representatives from among the students in that level. The purpose of the NHMS Student Council is to encourage school spirit and cooperation among faculty, students and staff. It is also to encourage good citizenship, develop student leadership, and represent the student body in all school affairs. We encourage students to participate in all school functions. Students are encouraged to be mindful of their behavior and academic performance.
