Future Business Leaders of America

                                                                                                                               

Twenty five of us have just returned from the National Fall Leadership Conference in Washington, DC. We attended a variety of workshops, heard great guest speakers, and visited LOTS of our National Landmarks. 

We even toured at night in the drizzling rain!

 

Some of the members rode a subway for the first time!

 

One of the places we visited was the US Capitol. We went on a guided tour through the US House of Representatives.

 

Here we are learning what it is like to be a Congressman.

We went to a nice Italian restaurant together. However, it cost a lot, we had $100 stolen, and some of us didn't get our order, but we had fun! lol

We had a dance at the NFLC.

We have plenty of exciting activities planned this year. Please mark the dates below on your calendars:

November 19 Last day to sign up for what you are competing in at DLC
December 9 (2PM - Until) Computer part of competitions which require a skills event, Lakewood High in Sumter, SC
January 31 District Leadership Conference (competition) usually in Sumter, SC
February 8-14, 2009

State Leadership Conference - Charleston, SC (State Level of Competition)

June 25-28, 2009

National Leadership Conference (Anaheim, California)

FBLA is a club designed to prepare you for your future in business by offering opportunities to lead today! We go on lots of trips, compete in state and national competitions, conduct service learning projects, and participate in other fun activities. However, you do not have to attend all or even any of the trips to participate.
