MATTHEW CRAWLEY
Director of Bands and Chorus - McBee High School
My name is Matthew
Crawley. After graduating from Chesterfield
High School in 2001, I attended Northeastern
Technical College earning an Associate in
Arts degree. I then transferred to Limestone
College where I received my B.A. in Music
Education in 2006.
While at Limestone I was a resident
assistant for three years as well as Student
Body president my senior year. I spend
countless hours volunteering at several
elementary schools and Ewing Middle School
in Gaffney, SC. I also taught private low
brass lessons to 6th - 8th graders. In
addition to musical activities, I also
worked as a sound and light technician with
the Limestone theater department.
I maintain certification in General and
Instrumental Music Education for grades
Kindergarten through 12. Before coming to
McBee High I spent two years as the Music
Teacher at Edwards and Plainview Elementary
Schools. I also assisted with the
Chesterfield High School bands. This will be my
third year
as the Director of Bands and Chorus here at McBee
High.
I love my family and try to spend as much
time with them as possible! I
especially love my nieces and nephew.
