MES Events

MES Meets Goal!!

MES pledged to raise money for the American Cancer Society. We set our goal at $3000.00. Dr. Nutt challenged the students and staff to meet this goal and agreed to wear a bunny suit if the goal was met. We met and exceeded our goal. On Thursday, April 6th, Dr. Nutt honored his agreement. Please see the pictures below.

MES raised over $500 this year for this worthy cause. We would like to thank the JR Beta Club for sponsoring this program and for all their hard work which made this program such a success! We would also like to thank the students at MES for responding to this worthy cause in such a positive way!

District Spelling Bee Winner

Marissa Johnson won the MES Spelling Bee and went on to win the District Spelling Bee. Congratulations Marissa!

Jr. Beta Club Convention Winners

McBee Elementary School had eight students attend the 14th annual SC Junior Beta Convention held December 8 - 9.

We received the following awards:

Samantha Johnson - 1st place - Wreath

Cara Moore - 2nd place - Watercolor

1st place T-Shirt Design

3rd place - Scrapbook

McBee Elementary School also won the Arts and Crafts Sweepstakes Champion Plaque for scoring more total points than all the other SC schools. There were over 2800 SC Jr. Beta members in attendance.

Ms. Huggins and Ms. Lucas were also recognized for 5 years of service at the sponsors breakfast. Congratulations and thanks for all of your hard work with the MES Jr. Beta Club!
