Media Center
The media center at Long Middle School is a very busy place! On any given school day students are always visiting, whether to check out or return books, do research, or conduct internet searches.
The library's circulation has dramatically increased since the implementation of the Accelerated Reader Program at LMS. At the beginning, middle, and end of each school year, students are given a diagnostic test to place them in a recreational reading range. Each Accelerated Reader book is coded in the library with its reading level and point value. Students who use this program seriously and correctly can make tremendous gains in their reading and comprehension levels.
