JUMP START FOR SIX GRADERS

8:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, August 5, 2008, upcoming six grade students will get a chance to visit Long Middle School and participate in activities with six grade teachers, experiment with lockers, go on a scavenger hunt, socialize with friends, and much more!

                    The schedule is as follows:

                        8:30 - 9:15 Registration in the gym (pay fees and receive  schedules)

                        9:15 - 9:30 Welcome, introduction of staff, and helpers

                        9:30 - 11:00    Team Activities

• Scavenger Hunt
• Experimenting with Lockers
• Taking ID Pictures
• Learning Styles Inventory
• Physical Activities

                        11:00 - 11:15 Break

                        11:15 - 12:30 An abbreviated schedule to meet teachers

                        12:30 -  1:30 Lunch provided

                          1:30 -  2:00 Final activities and closure (cafeteria)

Note:  Car riders should be dropped off from Jersey Street at the back of the school near the gym.  Walkers should enter from Greene Street (front entrance).  Bus transportation is not available. If you have question, please call 921-1010.
