Wendy Pheil

Resource Teacher

Room: 405

Biography:  I am Wendy Harrell Pheil (pronounced “file”). I graduated from Park View High School in South Hill, Virginia in 1985. My first summer job was as a kiddy rides operator at the King's Dominion theme park (the Virginia equivalent of Carowinds). I worked for Peebles Department Store for several years during and after college. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia in 1990. After deciding that retail was not for me, I returned to college to obtain my Master’s degree in teaching students with learning disabilities from Francis Marion University. I later added Early Childhood Education certification as well.
This is my 10th year teaching at Edwards Elementary. I am married to Peter Pheil, who is a native of Saint Petersburg, Florida. We have a stray mix dog named Petunia Grace, a stray cat named Phoebe, several belted Galloway cows, some goats and entirely too many chickens. We all inhabit a small farm in Ruby, SC.
Peter is a retired self-employed salesman, sometime vintage race driver and full-time wannabe farmer. My interests include art history, baseball, reading, writing, Bookcrossing (sharing and tracking books via the internet that I leave in random places for others to find and track), surfing the Net, compiling eclectic play lists on i tunes, playing my guitar (badly) and spoiling my dog rotten.
