Biography:  I am Joni Sellers Ainsworth. I graduated from Cheraw High School. I attended Chesterfield-Marlboro Technical College and received an Associate of Science Degree. I transferred to Francis Marion College and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. A few years later, I was awarded Master Of Education in Early Childhood Education from the University of South Carolina.

I maintain certification in the areas of Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. My most recent accomplishment is becoming a National Board Certified Teacher in the area of Early Childhood Generalist.

This is my 23rd year teaching at Edwards Elementary. I taught First Grade for ten years and am currently in my 13th year of teaching Kindergarten.

I am married to John Ainsworth. We have two sons, John and Richard, a daughter-in-law, Aleisha, and a new grandson, Nathan.  We have one dog, Gidget.
