Denise Davis

Kindergarten Teacher

Room: 107

Biography:  My name is Denise Stowe Davis. I graduated from Lander College (now known as Lander University) with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. Later I completed my master’s degree at the University of South Carolina in Early Childhood Education. I received National Board Certification in 2001 in the area of Early Childhood Generalist.

This is my twentieth year of teaching. I began in third grade at Edwards. Then I taught second grade for six months at Coker-Wimberly School in Battleboro, North Carolina. After moving back to Chesterfield, I returned to Edwards. I taught fourth grade for one semester. Then I taught second grade for four years. After that, I taught first grade for eleven years. I am currently teaching kindergarten, and I LOVE IT!!!!

I am married to John Davis. He has his own business—Davis Equipment and Repair. We have two spoiled dogs, Sadie and Runt. We also have two cats, Crinkle and Tat. In my free time, I like to read, crochet, bake, and spend time with my family. I especially enjoy spending time with my niece, Krislynne and my nephew, Chance.
