Biography:  I am Beth King Suggs. I graduated from Chesterfield High School. I attended Winthrop University where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. I then earned a Masters of Education in Early Childhood from the University of South Carolina. After teaching a few years, I attended Winthrop University where I earned certification in Educational Leadership and Supervision.

This is my twenty-first year at Edwards Elementary. I taught fourth grade for fourteen years. For two years I was a Title I Math teacher and I taught small math groups to third, fourth, and fifth graders. Then I became the Coordinating Teacher and served in this position for three years. I am currently the Curriculum Coordinator. This is my second year in this position.

I am married to Henry Suggs. We have two sons Bryce and Alex. Bryce is 17 and Alex is 14.

I enjoy spending time with my family, reading on the beach and going to watch the USC Gamecocks play ball.
