Student Drop Off, Pick-Up and
Transportation
We value our instructional time from
8:00 to 2:40. When you pick up
your child before 2:40, valuable
instructional time is lost. It is
also a disruption to the classroom.
However, we will work with you for
occasional early pick-ups. We
discourage frequent early pick-ups.
If you need to call the office for your
child to change transportation
procedures, please do so by 2:00.
This will allow office staff time to
relay information to your child.
Please remember dismissal is at 2:40.
Instructional time continues until then.
Please do not drop off your children
before 7:20am. An adult will be
there at 7:30. No child should be
left unattended on High Street.
If you need to walk your child in the
building, park in the parking lot and
walk in with your child.
DO NOT PULL THROUGH THE PARKING LOT AND
DROP YOUR CHILD OFF AT THE LOBBY
ENTRANCE FOR ANY REASON. IT IS NOT
SAFE FOR YOUR CHILD TO WANDER IN
UNATTENDED.
Visitors and School Safety
Cheraw Primary has an open-door
policy. Parents and special guests
are welcome to visit and eat lunch with
their child. However, the ENTRY
POINT OT CHERAW PRIMARY IS THE MAIN
OFFICE. Visitors will be issued a
visitor sticker signifying to our
teachers that all guests are registered
in the main office. Drop-in or
unscheduled conferences are strongly
discouraged as teachers are responsible
for instructing and supervising students
during the academic day. A
conference with the teacher can be
scheduled before or after school or
during the teacher's planning period. |
