Biology I--College Preparatory

Biology I-College Prep is an introductory biology course for students that plan to attend a four-year South Carolina college.   This is a study of the fundamental principles of living organisms including physical and chemical properties of life, cellular organization and function, the transfer of energy through metabolic systems, cellular reproduction, and the classification of living things.  This course is designed as a broad survey of Basic Biology Principles To Prepare Students for the State of South Carolina End of Course Biology I Test (pending).

Biology I--Honors

This honors level biology course involves in-depth study of biological concepts for highly motivated, science-oriented, college bound students. Topics covered include those shown for the college preparatory (see above) course but in greater depth.  This course has a strong analytical lab component. Students will work independently and with partners to complete several research projects during the semester.
